Britmums Live! (If you haven’t heard of it before) is “the UK’s biggest, two-day social media conference and blogger event, where lifestyle bloggers and social influencers gather to meet and socialise, network with brands, improve their skills, and fire their creativity. BritMums Live has grown out of BritMums, the UK’s largest parent blogger community, made up of nearly 5,000 influential bloggers who create content about lifestyle, crafting, food, health, travel, education, tech, style and more.”
I first heard about Britmums Live just after I started Toby Goes Bananas in October and thought it sounded really interesting but as a brand new blogger I wasn’t sure it was the place for me. Since then my love of blogging has just grown and grown…but I still have lots to learn! I would love to go to Britmums Live to take advantage of all the fantastic tutorial sessions and discussions, to meet with brands, and to learn how to make my blog the best it can be. And of course meet all the lovely bloggers who I have been reading about and chatting to on Twitter for the last few months!
However, now comes the sad part of this tale. I live in Scotland and I’m currently on maternity leave and about to come to the end of my period of Statutory Maternity Pay. Which unfortunately means our household budget just won’t stretch to a ticket to Britmums Live, travel to London and a hotel to stay in. Which is where you come in! If you are a family friendly brand or small business then with your help I could go to Britmums Live after all!
I started Toby Goes Bananas in October 2013 when my son Toby (of going bananas fame!) was just three months old. I blog about parenting, baking, craft and my day job as a secondary school teacher. In the short time this blog has existed I have already gained a regular readership. In January the blog had 1,881 page views and 708 unique visitors. These figures are an increase of around 50% from the previous month and I hope to see them continue to increase. I am active on most social networks and currently have 532 twitter followers and 123 Facebook likes. Again these figures are increasing each week.
So what do I need?
I’m looking for a family friendly brand to pay for my BritMums Live ticket (£95), one night’s accommodation (£100) and travel from Scotland (£100). In total £295.
If you are a smaller company and are not able to offer me full sponsorship for BritMums Live then I would be very happy to talk to you about partial sponsorship – perhaps you could sponsor the BritMums Live ticket or accommodation only?.
What can I offer in return for sponsorship?
I am very happy to come to discuss what your brand would get in return. As a minimum I would display the brand logo, linked to the brand’s homepage, on my sidebar throughout 2014. I would write a post introducing you as my sponsor and several more posts in the the run up to the event. I would also be happy to review and promote any suitable products on the blog and through social media throughout the year. At the event I could feature the brand logo on a personalised t-shirt or hoody and on my business cards which will be given out to other bloggers and brands during the conference. Although I am looking for sponsorship for Britmums Live, I am also hoping to build an ongoing relationship with the brand which provides this.
If you are able to help and would like to work with Toby Goes Bananas in 2014 then please get in touch – I would love to hear from you and discuss this opportunity further.
